Oversee the delivery of the general education wellness courses; conduct research; advise PhD, MS, and undergraduate students; serve on committees; perform service

 

2005                Teaching Fellow, Maastricht Center for Transatlantic Studies, Teikyo University, The Netherlands. Selected to deliver: “Behavioral, Environmental, and Technological Influences on Obesity”, highlighting differences between Europe and North America.

 

2005-2006       Adjunct Faculty, California College for Health Sciences. Administer multiple courses in the Masters in Public Health web-based program.

 

2002–2005      Instructor, North Dakota State University, Department of Health, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences, Fargo, ND. Deliver a full range of courses in the Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science department. Oversaw the delivery of the general education wellness offerings; conducted research; advised undergraduate majors; serve on committees; perform service.

 

2001-02           Instructor, Youngstown State University, Department of Human Performance & Exercise Science, Youngstown, OH. Delivered courses in the exercise science curriculum. Advised undergraduate students and performed committee work.

 

1995-2000       Instructor, University of Wyoming, Division of Kinesiology and Health, Laramie, WY.  Delivered courses in the Clinical Exercise and Sport Science curriculum.  Served as Undergraduate program coordinator; including supervision of all internship experiences and curriculum revisions. Directed community-wide wellness and cardiac programs, and the diagnostic exercise testing lab.

 

1994-1995              Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation/Adult Fitness Heart Institute of the Desert, Rancho Mirage, CA. Responsible for Phase II and III cardiac rehabilitation, adult wellness, risk factor education, clinical exercise testing, budgeting, training staff and interns, community outreach, insurance verification and program marketing.

 

1993-1994              Exercise Test Technologist, Easton Hospital, Division of Cardiology, Easton PA. Administered all diagnostic exercise tests in conjunction with hospital cardiologists and per diem in cardiac rehab.

 

Consulting

 

1998–2004      Cardiac Rehabilitation, Academy Medical Systems, Inc. Rolling Hills Estates, CA. Provide nation-wide, day-long, educational seminars to health professionals seeking continuing education credits in the area of cardiac rehabilitation.
